ICEsoft Technologies Welcomes New CEO
Veteran executive to drive ICEsoft's leadership in rich Java Web applications

CALGARY, Alberta — June 24, 2005 — ICEsoft Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of Java browser and rich Web technology, today announced that Chris Erickson has joined the company to assume the role of president and CEO.

Chris Erickson joins ICEsoft with more than 25 years experience in the enterprise software and computer industry. As CEO, he has successfully led both private and public companies. Chris grew Brightware Inc, a CRM leader, to the verge of an initial public offering (IPO) before selling the company to Firepond in 2001. Previous to that, Chris took Red Brick Systems to a highly successful IPO in 1996, growing the revenue from $2.3 million to $43 million in just four years. Red Brick was subsequently sold to Informix Software in 1998. As a senior operating executive he successfully managed a division of Tandem Computers from 1989 to 1993.

Chris will be located in Silicon Valley, coinciding with ICEsoft’s increased investment in its U.S. operations. He brings strong “across the board” leadership to ICEsoft, but his immediate focus will center on strategic marketing and business development in the emerging Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) rich client market.

“As a demonstrated leader in the enterprise software industry, Chris has a proven record of transforming early-stage companies into market leaders,” said Brian McKinney, out-going chief executive officer of ICEsoft Technologies. "We are excited about the vision and leadership that Chris will bring to the team.” In his new role, Brian McKinney will remain on the board of directors as chairman, providing continuity and guidance at the executive level.
