MIME Types

The Image Pilot directly supports the following MIME types:

• image/jpeg
• image/gif
• image/png¹

In addition, the following image MIME types are supported when the optional Java Advanced Imaging (JAI) library is installed:

• image/bmp
• image/tiff
• image/x-portable-anymap
• image/vnd.fpx (FlashPix, partial support in JAI v1.1)

¹Requires optional third-party PNG decoder when using JDK 1.1.8/PersonalJava.
