Development Status Change Notification

ICEbrowser Development Status Change Notification The following important notice applies to ICEbrowser SDK, ICEreader SDK, and these ICEbrowser Modules; SSL Module (ICEssl), NTLM Module, Accessibility Module, and Flash Pilot Module.

Since its launch as the worlds first DOM based browser in 1997, the ICEbrowser has been deployed more than 10 million times. Times have changed however and the decision has been made to begin the migration of ICEbrowser, ICEreader and all the ICEbrowser modules towards an “end of life” status.

Support will continue to existing customers but effective immediately the product line will be removed from an active sales and development status. As the vast majority of our supported customers use our browser products to render “controlled” content, we do not believe that the level or quality of support provided to them will be materially impacted in the immediate future. Existing customers can continue to access product releases and support updates via FTP account information provided by ICEsoft.

Future product releases will be restricted to service releases or “hot fixes” only as required by our existing customer base, and then only to those issues not requiring modification to the layout engine that may necessary to accommodate unsupported web content. No new major product releases or feature enhancements will be made.

As you review your ongoing needs for future support, please review the key dates and service levels that we anticipate being delivered.
