Optional SDK Modules:
SSL Module (ICEssl): Download Data Sheet
ICEssl is a Java-based SSL (Secure Socket Layer) module that is fully integrated with ICEbrowserŽ SDK to provide secure networking over the Internet. This proprietary SSL implementation provides secure, encrypted communication between ICEbrowser and secure Web servers.
ICEssl is a client side implementation of the TLS standard. It enables full support for both SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 protocols with all JDK versions including Personal Java.
Only available with ICEbrowser SDK
NTLM Module:
You can add NTLM support to ICEsoft's HTTP protocol handler by using the optional NTLM module. This module provides cross-platform support of NTLM authentication to Microsoft proxy and Web servers.
NTLM stands for Windows NT LAN Manager, which is the Windows NT challenge/response authentication protocol. This protocol is used on networks that have systems running Windows NT 4.0 and earlier.
Available with ICEbrowser and ICEreader SDK
Accessibility:
ICEbrowser and ICEreader's Swing-based HTML rendering component supports the Accessible Hypertext interface, which is part of the Java Accessibility package. Through this API, applications have a standard mechanism for accessing the content of the rendered page through attributes and spatial location.
This module allows ICEbrowser and ICEreader rendered applications to be navigated with keyboard commands using commercial text reader software that can also verbalize content to persons with a visual impairment.
Available with ICEbrowser and ICEreader SDK
Flash Pilot Module:
The Flash Pilot Module displays Flash (.swf) movie files that have been embedded into an HTML document via an object or embedded tag. This pilot uses the native Win32 Active-X Flash Player from Macromedia and can only be used on Windows platforms.
Available with ICEbrowser and ICEreader SDK
